CHAMPAIGN — One man is in police custody and a second is being treated at a local hospital in connection with a stabbing Friday afternoon in Campustown.

A release from the Champaign Police Department said two men were arguing about 3:20 p.m. in the 600 block of East Green Street.

A 42-year-old man was stabbed in the back and a second man, Jerry Webb, 66, was arrested on a preliminary charge of aggravated battery.

Police describe the injury to the man who was stabbed as non-life-threatening.
