CHICAGO (AP) — McDonald's Corp. (MCD) on Wednesday reported third-quarter profit of $2.15 billion.
On a per-share basis, the Chicago-based company said it had profit of $2.86. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to $2.76 per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 13 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2.46 per share.
The world's biggest hamburger chain posted revenue of $6.2 billion in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Ten analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $6.02 billion.
