URBANA — No foul play was found in the preliminary autopsy of a Champaign man's body that was pulled from the water Friday at Crystal Lake Park in Urbana.

"The preliminary autopsy results show no signs of trauma or foul play," said a release issued Saturday afternoon by Champaign County Coroner Duane E. Northrup.

Cristian A. Zamora, 23, of Champaign was found submerged under the ice Friday at Crystal Lake Park, 206 W. Park St., U. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:55 p.m.

Mr. Zamora had been missing since New Year's Eve.

The preliminary autopsy was held Saturday at the Champaign County coroner's Regional Autopsy Facility in Urbana. Final results are pending further studies. An inquest may be held at a later date.

The death is being investigated by the Champaign County Coroner's Office, Champaign Police Department and Urbana Police Department.
