CHAMPAIGN — Add Judah Christian to the list of schools in the process of finding another superintendent.

On Tuesday, Michael Chitty told News-Gazette Media in an email that he'd accepted another superintendent position at a school in Indiana.

"The decision was completely voluntary," he wrote. "I am thankful for my eight years at Judah Christian School and will fulfill my duties as superintendent for the remainder of this school year."

Chitty has more than 25 years experience in education, having held positions ranging from teaching staff to athletic director to principal.

Prior to assuming the superintendency, he was an elementary principal and head varsity basketball coach.
