There were long flights, lost luggage and little sleep. But BRAD and HAYLIE DANCER still enjoyed their whirlwind weekend trip to Wimbledon.

"We laughed," the UI men's tennis coach said Tuesday — back in Champaign. "With four boys, Haylie and I probably spent more time together in the last 72 hours than we have all year."

The Dancers decided to head to England to watch his former star player, KEVIN ANDERSON, compete in Sunday's finals. It meant that much.

They arrived on Saturday afternoon — minus Haylie's luggage — and were at Centre Court the next day. After Anderson's loss to NOVAK DJOKOVIC in the championship match, "Kevin's agent held a party Sunday night for everyone that came in for the match," Dancer said, "so it was a great chance to catch up."

It gets better. The Dancers' roundabout itinerary — "budget travel," Brad described it — had them in the capital of Iceland for most of Monday.

"Best way back was through Reykjavik, which turned into an awesome day excursion," he said. "Now I can't wait to go back and spend some time exploring the incredible nature."
