The winter weather advisory for East Central Illinois has been cancelled.

 

9:15 a.m. update

Most of the area remains under a winter weather advisory.

Champaign, DeWitt, Piatt, and Vermilion counties are under the advisory until 6 p.m. Monday, while Coles, Douglas, Edgar, Macon, and Moultrie counties are under the advisory until noon Monday.

Light freezing rain is expected with ice accumulation expected to be less than one-tenth of an inch.

The dense fog advisory has been cancelled.

The National Weather Service says all of East Central Illinois is under a dense fog advisory until 10 a.m. Monday.

The advisory includes Champaign, Coles, DeWitt, Douglas, Edgar, Ford, Iroquois, Macon, Moultrie, Piatt, Shelby and Vermilion counties.

Visibility is expected to be one quarter of a mile or less and areas that are below freezing could also accrue a thin layer of ice on untreated surfaces.

Meanwhile, most of the area remains under a winter weather advisory.
