HUME — Charleen Woodyard, 94, of Hume passed away at 3:50 p.m. Wednesday (April 17, 2019) at her residence in Hume.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2019, at Joines Funeral Home, 401 W. Gillogly St., Newman, with Marvin Smith officiating. Burial will be in Young America Cemetery, north of Hume. Visitation will be held one hour before service time.
She was born on Aug. 31, 1924, in Hume, a daughter of Charles and Jessie Starky Hollingsworth. She was married to Roy Woodyard. He preceded her in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Sharon (Harold) Titus of Cumming, Ga., and Rita (Ray) Yates of Dawsonville, Ga.; five grandchildren, Shane Baugh, Jamie Sexton, Shaun Titus, Dawn Kimbarl and Justin Yates; two stepgrandchildren, Shane Yates and Amy Linnabary; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her three brothers, Howard Hollingsworth, Jay Acklin and Nye Acklin.
Charleen lived her entire life in Hume. She was an avid Cubs fan. Her hobbies included gardening, fishing, camping and crafts.
