RANTOUL – Patricia Ann Lareau, 76, of Rantoul, formerly of Gibson City, passed away at 9:06 p.m. Thursday, June 8, 2017, at Heartland Health Care, Paxton.
She was born on Aug. 5, 1940, in Kankakee, a daughter of Lee and Minerva (Agatone) Williams. She married Joseph Lareau on May 16, 1959, in Beaverville, Ill. He survives.
Also surviving are nine children, Julie (Richard) Williams of Champaign, Michael (Rayna) Lareau of Rantoul, Robin (Tom) Courtney of Wisconsin, Daniel (Lisa) Lareau of Missouri, Denise (Robert) Carnathan of Pennsylvania, Joi Day of Rantoul, Deborah (Bruce) Wiedow of Iowa, Joel (Esther) Lareau of Uganda, Africa, and Martha (Richard) Steele of Clinton; a brother, Ronald (Nancy) Williams of Alabama; three sisters, Shirley Miller of Virginia, Lucille Luz of Arizona and Joan Williams of Wood Dale, Ill.; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a son, Jonathan.
Pat was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on Feb. 6, 1965. She enjoyed sharing scriptures from the Bible with people she met. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, photography and keeping in touch with friends and relatives by letter.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 24. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. with the memorial service starting at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2602 W. Bloomington Road, Champaign.
