No reason to send U.S. troops to Haiti
There is talk of sending U.S. troops to Haiti.
Woodrow Wilson sent the military there in 1915. The problem was, as now, corruption and economic stagnation.
The U.S. aggravated the situation. We exploited the country rather than assisting it.
Franklin Roosevelt brought the troops out in 1934.
There is no reason to believe that we would be successful this time.
