Illini baseball diary: Eighty-four and sunny

A different Illini baseball player will fill in readers throughout the week on the team's weeklong trip to Curacao and Aruba. Today's entry comes from senior catcher David Craan, who is enjoying the nice weather:

Hey, Illini baseball fans!

It's David Craan here. Leaving at 2 in the morning and grinding through an 11-hour travel day was definitely worth getting to wake up the next day, eat breakfast and hang out on the beach when it's 84 and sunny.

I took a nice nap on the bus ride to Chicago, sleepwalked through security and slept the entire first flight to Charlotte. I watched a movie on the second plane ride, and it was really cool watching us land on the island with water on both sides.

After practice, eating and a shower, I fell asleep once I hit my bed. The resort is awesome, the weather is perfect and we've already had a lot of fun. We've jumped off some piers, swam in the ocean, pet some iguanas, snorkeled, taken some pictures and had a blast just hanging out.

I can't wait to see what the rest of the week has in store.
